RESUMEN
Se comunica el caso de un paciente de 42 años de edad con foliculitis en penacho. Esta entidad es infrecuente y de evolución crónica y progresiva. Suele localizarse en la piel cabelluda y se distingue por formación de alopecia cicatricial con aglomerados pilosos, que emergen de un único orificio folicular. Actualmente la foliculitis en penacho es un tema de controversia por su etiopatogenia. Muchos autores estiman que debería considerarse una variante de foliculitis decalvante. ABSTRACT
We report the case of a 42-year-old man with tufted hair folliculitis. It is an uncommon, chronic and progressive disease. It is usually located in scalp and is characterized by areas of scarring alopecia with clusters of hair emerging from a single follicular opening. Tufted hair folliculitis is currently a subject of controversy for its pathogenesis. Many authors believe that it should be considered a variant of folliculitis decalvans.
