RESUMEN
Los pacientes con síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida (sida) pueden tener infecciones mixtas con expresión clínica, evolución y localización en diferentes sitios, distintas a las habituales. Se reporta el caso de un paciente con sida y úlceras cutáneas extensas, con una asociación poco frecuente de virus del herpes simple e Histoplasma capsulatum. ABSTRACT
Patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (aids), can present a wide range of infections in variable locations, whose clinical expression and natural course differs from their usual presentation. A case report of an aids patient that developed broad skin ulcers, is presented, where a mixed infection by two infrequent agents, herpes simplex and Histoplasma capsulatum, was documented.
